Teresa Mann is a state registered Chiropractor having trained at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic (part of the University of Wales). This training involved a 4 year medical based degree. In addition to these services Teresa is also a trained Colonic Hydrotherapist.
As a result of back pain following the birth of her second child she sought numerous forms of therapy. After being so impressed with McTimoney Chiropractic and its holistic approach, her chiropractor encouraged her to train.
The technique provides a gentle approach to treatment. For further details about the McTimoney technique go to the McTimoney Chiropractic Association website.
Teresa is very patient focused and firmly believes in taking a multi-disciplinary approach to the treatment of patients should the need arise. This involves working closely with other therapists where necessary to advance the healing of the patient or referal to the GP if necessary and permission is given.
Her philosophy is also to provide patients with support, such as minor lifestyle changes; stretches and exercise advice that empowers the patient to be more in control and take more responsibility of their ongoing health. With experience in Yoga, Pilates and dance, she is keen to show all patients how to rehabilitate with exercises and postural awareness to maintain their health. She will also direct the patient to obtaining correct nutritional and dietary advice should it be appropriate.
